Dear TurboChecking Customer,

I'd like to email you now and then to tell you: (1) what's up with TurboChecking, (2) how to get help when you have questions and (3) how TurboChecking works.

HERE'S MY FIRST HELPFUL HINT - FOUR WAYS TO GET INFORMATION AND HELP.

(1) Your quickest resource for general questions is Turbo FAQS.

We update this information whenever we have newly-frequent questions, so this is a great source.

Just click the "Turbo FAQs" link above to begin, or copy the web address that follows and paste into your browser's address bar. http://www.charterco.com/personal/turbocheckingfaqs.cfm.

 

(2) Find out how close you are to meeting the requirements to earn the highest interest rate and ATM refunds.

Anytime during the Rewards Cycle:

Step 1: Log into Charter Online.

Step 2: Enter your Online ID and click "Submit"

Step 3: Enter your Online Password and click "Submit"

Step 4: Select "Transactions" from the "Select option" drop down menu and select the "View Range" of 30 days:

Count the eligible Turbo Card transactions you have posted to your Turbo account during the Rewards Cycle.

The description of eligible Turbo Card transactions always begin with: 

"POS PUR."

NOTES:  The Rewards Cycle begins immediately after the last business day of the previous month and ends on the last business day of the month. For example, the February 2009 Rewards Cycle begins on Saturday 1/31/09 and ends on Friday 2/27/09. You may want to consult a calendar to be certain that you know the last business day of the previous month. You need to have at least 13 eligible Turbo Card transactions posted to your Turbo account during the Rewards Cycle to meet this requirement.

Check whether or not you have an Automated Clearing House (ACH) deposit or withdrawal.

An eligible ACH transaction description always begins with either:

"ACH" or
"Bill Paid"


NOTES:  You need at least 1 eligible ACH transaction posted to your Turbo account during the Rewards Cycle to meet this requirement. Don't mistake transactions that say "View Image" in the "Ref/Check No." column for an eligible transaction. These have been paid by a paper check and do not count toward your monthly ACH requirement.

When you have done this, you also will have completed the "Access on-line banking at least once before month end" requirement and will know where you stand toward completing the requirements. This assumes that you are already meeting the fourth requirement by getting your monthly statements by email.

(3) Get an answer to a question that you can't figure out from Turbo FAQs or while looking at your Online Banking screen.

Click the Contact Button on your Charter Online screen to have secure communications with our account specialists.

You send your written message and our specialists reply promptly. They also send an email message to your email address telling you that they have replied and that you have a new, secure message at Charter Online. To reach your Charter Online screen:

Step 1: Log into Charter Online.

Step 2: Enter your Online ID and click "Submit"

Step 3: Enter your Online Password and click "Submit"

Step 4: Click the "Contact" button and write and send your message.

The Contact button looks like this at the top of your Charter Online screen:

(4) When all else fails, phone the Turbo Help Line.

There are 3 numbers that you can call: (a) 505-291-3777 in Albuquerque, (b) 505-992-1777 in Santa Fe , or (c) 877-91-TURBO (877-918-8726) Toll Free. My Turbo Help Line is available 24/7 with live support on Business Days, except for Federal Bank Holidays, between 8am and 5pm Mountain Standard Time (MST).
